Big enough to have critics!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags on August 14, 2011 by stonedgopher

Holy awesomeness! I’m in the midst of the rediscovery and revival of my former blog, and found out that Stoned Gopher was Blog Moron of the day!

I’m actually stoked that enough people found my stoned thoughts that someone actually blogged about how moronic they were. I used to just get baked, write and assumed nobody was reading.

I don’t think everyone feels the same way he does, but I must say I can see his point. He also rips apart the unquestionably stupidest post on this blog.

Anyway, he’s probably right, but I’m still stoked!

FYI Mr. Raider, I make good money at an awesome job which contributes greatly to society. That part of your post was definitely UNTRUE :P

Seriously, just legalize it — What Marijuana did for me

Pot is one of the most mysterious substances in the world. It grows in the ground and requires no unnatural chemicals, but when using it correctly it holds the power to completely change lives.

When I was in high school, I was overweight and felt like I’d never get a girl, or a job, or anything that kids are taught to aspire for. My teachers convinced me I was stupid, and my circumstances made me an unhappy person in general. It wasn’t until I reached the age of 23 that I truly feel like I unlocked my self-esteem, by realizing that I am me and I am awesome. Not like I’m vain, but I just mean I’m a good guy, and people like me.

My point here, is that I didn’t get to this until I really spent some time seriously reflecting. The kind of introspection that you can only achieve when high, or possibly meditating (I’ve never done the Yoga thing).

To this day, I still believe that pot is the reason I am a happy person today. It’s an amazing plant and I hope that one day the world will get it. If everyone smoked the world would be a better place.

I still be burnin’

Hello everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that I logged in to this blog for the first time in almost 4 years and was pleased to see that it’s still getting traffic (75/day is still pretty cool)!

Although I don’t burn as often as I used to, I still believe in marijuana and it’s beauty. I’ll also be taking a trip to Amsterdam very soon, and I’ll definitely do some reporting from there.

Thanks for stopping by, keep fighting the good fight, legalize it and peace and love to all.

Lazy Alfredo / Garlic Bread

Posted in Munchie recipes on November 23, 2008 by stonedgopher

This stuff is pretty good. I made this recipe up and always keep the ingredients in the fridge for times of great hunger. Let me know if you try it!

Lazy Alfredo

1 Package of Ramen Noodles
1 Can of grated or package of shredded (preferred) Parmesan Cheese
1 Jar of Alfredo sauce from the store
Chicken of some sort (optional)

In a large bowl or Tupperware, place the Ramen brick on its side, then fill the container with water until it covers the top of the noodles.

Put in the Microwave for 6-7 minutes (or 2:30 if you are impatient like me).

When it’s done, stir the noodles into the hot water, to get them to loosen up, then drain. *Tip* it’s easy to drain noodles by holding a fork on the corner of a square Tupperware, then pouring the water out slowly. Once the water is drained, pour on sauce to desired consistency–I prefer a little extra. Put in chopped up chicken breast or whatever chicken you have around. Pretty much anything works here. I’ve even done it with hamburger before.

Next, add Parmesan cheese, the more the merrier. You can add garlic power to make it even better.

Once you have everything in the container, stir it up for a minute so that the sauce heats on the noodles.

Good, eh? I’ve also done it with tomato sauce and ground beef. Both dishes go well with SG’s Lazy Garlic Bread below.

Stoned Gopher’s Lazy Garlic Bread

1 Slice of Bread
A tub of butter or Margarine. I like to buy Country Crock.
Garlic Salt

Toast the bread, and spread butter across the hot slice (lol), and salt lightly with Garlic Salt.

It’s good considering the amount of work you have to put in!

The Bond Movies

Posted in Stoned Thoughs, Stoner movie reviews on November 23, 2008 by stonedgopher

Is anyone else annoyed by the abundance of Bond movies?

There are so many of them. I’ve seen “Goldfinger” and it was a good movie, but do there really need to be 20 or whatever more?Maybe there’s something I’m not getting. Are they all good?

Movies I watch high a lot

The Best movie ever: Mazes & Monsters. It stars Tom Hanks (in one of his first roles) as a kid that gets obsessed with an AD&D type game. The acting is horrible, but soooo funny. Worse than the acting, is the writing.

My favorite line:

JayJay: (talking about acting) I wanted to do comedy, but unfortunately, I’m not turning out to be a leading type. It sure would help if I looked like you. And my social life.

Daniel: My social life is NO big deal.

JayJay: Sure it isn’t.

Daniel: NO Really. Everyone kids me about being the great makeout champion around here. Do you have any idea what that does for a girl who wants a guy who sensitive and caring?

I promise you if you watch this movie baked you will go crazy with laughter. You can buy it at the local walmart dvd bin for $5 or less.

and just to throw this in (might be a stoner movie): Ricky Oh – The story of Ricky.

Seriously, this one is a MUST for any stoner. It will captivate you.

~A perfect Sunday~

Nothing to do but maybe some laundry…maybe, but I doubt it’ll get done.

Today is way too perfect to do anything…I’m just chillin’ in comfortable clothes, on a comfortable chair, smoking some sweet ganja…livin’ the good life.

This is a boring post to some, but I’m high and I like to talk when I’m high.

Peace.

Doug Funny helped make me sensitive

Mr. Dink

I grew up watching all sorts of cartoons, but there are a small handful that I loved so much growing up, that they helped influence my life. Nickelodeon’s “Doug,” is one of them.

Roger Klotz

For those who are too young to remember Doug, or were not fortunate enough to have cable, Doug was a cartoon on Nickelodeon in the Mid to late 90′s about an awkward kid going through school and learning life’s lessons. It was really like an weird animated version of the Wonder Years.

Doug was in love with Patty Mayonaise….oh and why was Patty’s father in a wheelchair and her mother deceased? Was it because of the same accident? His best friend Skeeter was blue…come to think of it, everyone was different colors on that show. Doug and his dad were white, his mom was pink, his friend was blue Chalky Studebaker (The overachieving jock) was green, there was a carrot-looking guy, Patty was tan, and Roger Klotz was
green…They never once (that I can remember)
mentioned that they were all different, which I think is beautiful.

Skeeter Valentine

I loved this show’s quirky humor and it’s weird music…all of the instruments were actually people making weird noises with their mouths. The town Doug was from (Bluffington) was filled with all-sorts of characters, all whom have fascination with the official town crop, beats. There is a band called The Beats, who are a direct parody of the Beatles.

The mayor uses every opportunity to promote his future political career by plugging “vote for me” at every public ceremony…in Bluffington, there are a lot. Most of the time he plugs it to kids too young to be able to vote anyway. “Vote for me.”

My favorite character in the show has to be Mr. Dink, Doug’s implicatedly rich neighbor that has the latest technology, that he turns to for advice. Mr. Dink is a big purple man with a big house and he is always proud to show off his latest gadgets. These gadgets are always ridiculous and end up malfunctioning before Doug leaves. After he first shows his gadget he always mentions “Very expensive.”

Take my Doug Funny poll:

Anway, check out the Wiki for a list of characters and motifs – or google the torrent of all four Nickelodeon seasons…don’t bother with the later Disney seasons…well maybe they’re OK, but get the original first.

Also: look at these Dbags:
